Taro Akademia's story

From Podia to a fully branded, self-hosted site and academy.

A Bulgarian-language Tarot education platform, migrated off a third-party course platform and into a site the team owns and runs themselves.

The challenge

Taro Akademia teaches Tarot in Bulgarian. Its courses, sales, and student access all ran on Podia, a third-party platform. That capped how the brand could look, how courses could be sold, and how much control the team had over the student experience.

The solution

A branded website with a real sales flow

We replaced the generic course-shop layout with a site built to convert, not just display courses.

  • Guided entry. The home page asks visitors what they're looking for and routes them to the right course. Product pages are built to ask for the sale.
  • Simple checkout. Payment runs through Stripe, and a course unlocks automatically on purchase. Buyers land in the academy already logged in.
  • More revenue per customer. Post-purchase, customers see follow-up offers. Live webinars have their own registration flow, a free example lecture lets prospects try before buying, and the site supports promo codes for live sales.
  • Found and trusted. Search visibility, social sharing, Terms and Privacy pages, and a cookie-consent banner tied to analytics are all in place. Old Podia links redirect to their new pages, so nothing breaks and search ranking carries over.
  • Fast and secure. Pages load quickly and the site runs entirely over secure connections.

A proper academy platform

Students get their own learning space instead of a generic course library.

  • A personal dashboard shows owned courses plus the rest of the catalogue.
  • Courses are organized into modules and lessons, video, text, or downloadable files.
  • Progress is tracked automatically, with a certificate issued on course completion.
  • Access can be time-limited, so a course expires when its window ends.
  • Existing Podia students were migrated in bulk and activated in stages, with clear notices explaining the move.

Zero-developer day-to-day operation

The Taro team runs the whole site themselves.

  • They edit pages, prices, FAQs, testimonials, blog posts, the announcement bar, and search/sharing text directly.
  • Adding a course is a form fill. Stripe links map to products automatically, so new products need no technical setup.
  • Students can be enrolled by hand or imported as a list.
  • A built-in handbook, kept current as the site evolves, explains every part of the platform in plain language.

The result

Taro Akademia now runs on its own branded site with a self-serve sales flow and a dedicated academy, fully managed in-house by the Taro team with no developer dependency.
